How this deck works
The trick to this deck is to summon The Hellflame FourDemonLord Bram-Zand (SD36 X 02) as soon as you can. You will use its <Soul Drive> effect and clear off the opponent's field and forbid him/her to summon any Spirits next turn with the cost of the banishment of your Soul Core. (Your Soul Core will be removed from the game.) Although the Soul Core is the key component to make most modern decks functional, this deck does not require the Soul Core to make it functional. In fact, the Soul Core might even hinder the 'ramp up' of this deck. Although the chance of drawing The Hellflame FourDemonLord Bram-Zand is a slim 3/40, the red Magic cards are always useful in increasing your hand and increasing your chances of drawing that card you need. Once the Soul Core is banished, there are all sorts of fun things to do. Summon The HellflameCount Deffert (BS39 M 007) and activate The Hellflame FourDemonLord Bram-Zand's <Soul Drive> again without the Soul Core. Use Infernal Wind (BS38 R 071) to exhaust all opposing Spirits (if he/she has any) and gain 3 cores for each Ultimate you have on the field. With this deck being mostly Ultimates, chances are you'll get heaps of cores with this Magic card. Shortly speaking, without the Soul Core, this deck is very much unstoppable considering there are still less effects out there that target Ultimates.
